8th Annual 4th Grade Balloon Races

Mrs. Holland's 4th graders held the 8th annual "balloon car" race at Mansfield Elementary School to aid in their study of force, motion, and friction.  Much thought and creativity went into building these air powered cars made of styrofoam, straws, skewers, and balloons.  After building the cars, the fourth graders had a race to see which car would go the furthest distance.  Congratulations to Abby Jessen, Jessica Kester, Zoe Griffin, Nathan Shaw, Drew Holland, Jeremy Strozier, Natalie Horn, Maylei Rogers, and Winston Allison for having the cars that went the furthest.  Everyone did a GREAT job!
