Two Tiger Runners Earn All-District Rank

Mansfield freshmen Lillianna Porter and Bethany Mounts earned All-District medals at the Booneville hosted 3A-1 Conference Cross Country Meet on October 28.

Porter was Mansfield's fastest female, completing the Bearcat 1.5 mile course in a time of 11:42.81. The dynamic freshman finished third overall in the junior girls race. Her measurement was less than six seconds behind the winning time and 0.25 of a second in back of the individual runner-up.

Mounts was fourth in the junior girls race. Her time was 11:56.44. This was Mounts' first cross country postseason race.

The pair look to compete at the AAA state championships in Hot Springs on November 6 as part of the school's high school team.

Jalee Edwards, Abbi Neal, Isabella Denham, Bella Wallace and Izabella Urban also ran for the third place MHS team score.

August Martin was the only Mansfield junior boy to compete at the conference race.
