Mansfield Outdoor Club
The purpose of the Mansfield Outdoor Club is to encourage participation in outdoor activities and to foster hands-on experiences in outdoor education. The Outdoor Club works in conjunction with the Agriculture Education Department to maintain and develop the Mansfield Outdoor Classroom. One of the biggest endeavors of the club is to host "Mentoring Days." During these days, students from the elementary and middle school come to the high school campus. High School students lead younger students through activities and short courses that are designed to meet learning objectives for both age groups. These days are packed with fun and activities.
In addition to the Mentoring Days, the Outdoor Club participates in charitable work by hosting an annual food drive and participating in local angel tree giving. The club also volunteers at local JAKES days, turkey calling contests, fishing tournaments and any other activities that are related to the outdoors.
